Barasi Bridge: After the approach road collapsed, three PWD engineers suspended immediately

Following the strong displeasure of Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, three engineers of the Public Works Department have been suspended in connection with a crack in the approach road of the Barasi bridge on the Raipur-Tano road. It consists of two Executive Engineers and one Assistant Engineer. These orders were made on behalf of RK Sudhanshu, Chief Engineer, Public Works Department.
In the case, the Chief Engineer, in his investigation, found the Executive Engineer of LNV, Jeet Singh Rawat, the then Executive Engineer Shailendra Mishra and Assistant Engineer Anil Kumar Chandola guilty. All three have been attached to the Chief Engineer's office, Pauri. Executive Engineer Jeet Singh Rawat was posted here on October 18 after the bridge was built, yet he also came under the scanner. This has also raised questions about the action taken.
