Defense Minister Rajnath Singh dedicated to the nation 63 bridges and strategically important roads built in the country by BRO from Leh. In which a total of 06 bridges were inaugurated in Uttarakhand at a cost of 1928.74 lakh. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh while addressing said that it is very important from strategic point of view to provide connectivity by building bridges, roads in the inaccessible areas of the country. He congratulated the BRO for the construction of bridges, roads in the inaccessible areas and appreciated their works. The Defense Minister said that bridges and roads increase the pace of development of the country and roads are very important from the point of view of development, tourism as well as defense of the country. He said that we are moving fast in building a prosperous and strong country.

Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat participated in the launch from Ramnagar. He said that 06 bridges have been inaugurated in the state. In Uttarakhand, Rani bridge on Joshimath-Malar road cost 348.12 lakh, Khadi bridge on Rishikesh-Dharasu road cost 513.00 lakh, Kurkutia bridge on Jauljibi-Munsiyari road cost 142.00 lakh, Junaligarh bridge on Jauljibi-Munsiyari road cost 649.62 lakh, Juntigarh bridge costing 156.00 lakh and Laspa bridge cost 120.00 lakh on Munsiyari- Bagdiyar-Milan road were dedicated to the nation. He said that the construction of bridge roads in difficult areas is very important from the strategic point of view. BRO built bridges in inaccessible areas day and night even in cold and snowfall, this is a very commendable and courageous work. He said that by the construction of these bridges, there will be a lot of convenience for the regional people as well as for military activities.
