Alert for heavy rains in 8 Uttarakhand districts
Weather is expected to change in Uttarakhand from May 28
The weather is going to change in Uttarakhand from today as per Meteorological Centre Dehradun. From 28 May to 1 June, Uttarakhand will see some changes in the weather every day. While there is a possibility of thunderstorms and snowfall in 8 districts of Uttarakhand on May 28, from May 29 to June 1st , a yellow alert has been issued in the state. A few days ago, heavy rains and celestial lightning wreaked havoc in different districts of Uttarakhand.
After this, the weather did gave some relief , but it is again expected to change. On May 28, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pauri, Almora, Nainital, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Champawat districts of Uttarakhand may receive rain at some places. Apart from this, there is a possibility of snowfall in high mountain areas. After this, yellow alert has been issued in Uttarakhand for the next 4 days.
Heavy rains and snowfall are expected in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Nainital and Pithoragarh districts since yesterday. There is also the possibility of flashing celestial lightning and heavy winds in some parts of the state, it can move at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. By June 1, Yellow Alert has been issued in Uttarakhand, so we appeal everyone to stay safe and do read the Weather Guidelines before venturing out.
