Rain continues in Uttarakhand. The effect of rain in the hilly areas is also visible in the plains. At the same time, due to rain at high places in the Kampty area of Mussoorie, the water suddenly increased in the Kampty Falls. Thankfully, the police had already sent away more than 250 tourists who were bathing in the waterfall.
Due to the massive influx of water in the fall, there was an atmosphere of panic among the tourists and people in the surrounding area. Kampty SHO Navin Chandra Jural said that immediately after the information of rain in the high altitude areas, the soldiers posted at Kempty Falls were alerted. After this the tourists who were bathing in the fall were sent to a safe place.
At the same time, due to heavy rains in Mussoorie, life has been disturbed. The rainy drains are all in spate, due to which there is panic among the people. People were upset due to debris coming on the road at many places. It rained heavily in the city on Monday afternoon. This added to the troubles of the people. Water has been reported to have entered several houses. People were upset due to the boulder coming from the hill of Galogi Dhar.
Movement was disrupted due to stones and debris at many places on Dehradun Road, Kampty Road and Dhanaulti Road. Due to the rain, there has also been a slight chill in the morning and evening weather. Traffic is also being affected due to dense fog. On the other hand, the entry of vehicles in the mall road is not stopped during the restricted time.
Jam in Mall Road
Due to this, tourists coming to enjoy the Mall Road are facing problems. In such a situation, the Municipal President has given strict instructions. Vehicles continue to enter the Mall Road from the barrier located at Gandhi Chowk and Bhagat Singh Chowk in the city.
This creates chaos on the Mall Road. The biggest problem on the Mall Road is the speed of a large number of two wheelers. Jaswinder Singh, a tourist from Haryana, said that it is difficult to move around due to the crowd of vehicles on the Mall Road.
At least vehicles should be running during the restricted time. So that people who come to enjoy the Mall Road and Mussoorie do not face any problem. Municipality President Anuj Gupta says that efforts are made to avoid unnecessary vehicles plying on the Mall Road during the restricted time, but many have their homes on the Mall Road area itself.
Because of this the vehicles move. However, instructions have been given to the officials not to ply vehicles unnecessarily. Every effort is being made to maintain proper traffic system on the Mall Road.
