AAP will fight from road to Assembly for the rights of Uttarakhand martyrs : Ravindra Jugran
Aam Aadmi Party leader Ravindra Jugran, talked about fighting for the rights of the state revolutionaries and martyrs by AAP while holding a press conference today.
Former President of Uttarakhand Rajya Nirman Andonlankari Samman Parishad and Aam Aadmi Party leader Ravindra Jugran, talked about fighting for the rights of the state revolutionaries and martyrs by AAP while holding a press conference today. Jugran said that the BJP government of Uttarakhand with a thumping majority is insulting the martyrs of the state movement. The revolutionaries who got injured by bullets, went to jail, who laid down their future so that the state of their dreams can be built, their insult will not be tolerated at any cost.
Ravindra Jugran said that the Aam Aadmi Party will fight from the road to the assembly and if necessary will a legal battle as well to give respect to the Uttarakhand revolutionaries in every way. Jugran said that the issue of horizontal reservation being given to the state revolutionaries in government services was under consideration in the Uttarakhand High Court since 2011, but due to the insensitivity, negligence, poor lobbying and lack of willpower of the governments, the High Court of Uttarakhand in March 2018 has cancelled the horizontal reservation. The Uttarakhand government should have made a law to nullify this order and pass a bill in the Assembly for 10% horizontal reservation or challenge the decision of the High Court in the Supreme Court, but the government did not do so in the year 2018. Moreover, after the decision of the High Court, the government has abolished the reservation by issuing a mandate.
He further added that recently, by issuing an order by the Additional Secretary Home, notices are being issued to the state revolutionaries in government service giving reference to the order of the High Court. Now the jobs of the state revolutionaries serving in government departments for about 14-15 years are also coming under threat. Along with this, hundreds of revolutionaries selected from the State Public Service Commission and Subordinate Services Selection Board and other departments are also deprived of jobs even after being selected for the last five years. The easy solution to this problem was that the state government would have made an act by passing a bill in the Legislative Assembly and making law with retrospective effect. The service of all the serving revolutionaries would have been protected, but the government did not do so despite many representations were made to the government regarding.
Ravindra Jugran said, be it the Speaker of the Assembly or the Mayor of the BJP, people use the door to give jobs to their loved ones, bypassing the rules, but when it comes to the children of others do not utter a word. He said this issue was discussed with BJP ministers many times in the past also.
He said the biggest proof of the neglect of the martyrs is that this government did not feel the need to constitute the Uttarakhand Rajya Nirman Andolankar Samman Parishad in four and a half years. The worrying, sad and surprising aspect is that the government is not able to save the mandates made by them only in the High Court.
Ravindra Jugran said that on this issue, tomorrow on July 01, Aam Aadmi Party will pay homage to the martyrs by visiting the martyrs' memorials in honor of the martyrs of the Uttarakhand movement and will take a pledge to fulfill the announcements made in their honor. Ravindra Jugran, Advocate State Agitator Shri Sanjay Baluni, Ravindra Anand were present at this press conference.
