Antibodies have been made in 73.1 percent of the people of Uttarakhand. This has been revealed in the fourth sero survey of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Under the survey, in the beginning of July, the Covid antibody tests of 401 people of Uttarakhand were done out of which antibodies were found in 293 people. Uttarakhand ranked sixth in terms of Covid antibodies. The highest antibody was found in Madhya Pradesh (79 percent). This was followed by people from Rajasthan (76.2 percent) and Bihar (75.9 percent).
The lowest antibodies were found in people from Kerala (44.4 percent) and in Assam (50.3 percent). So far ICMR has done four surveys. In these blood is tested to find out how many people have antibodies against Covid-19. It also shows what percentage of the population has been infected with the Covid virus. Even before this, ICMR has conducted three sero surveys across the country, in which the percentage of antibodies found has been very low.
This is sero survey
When the virus attacks the body, the body's immune system makes antibodies to fight against it. This antibody stays in the body for about two months. To detect this antibody, sero survey is done through a blood sample. If a person has made antibodies in the body then he has recently been infected with the virus.
