2,756 fresh cases, 6,674 recoveries in Uttarakhand

The state health department reported 2,756 fresh cases of the Covid-19 yesterday, bringing the cumulative count of patients to 3,18,346 in the state. The authorities reported the death of 81 patients from Corona on the day after which the death toll has reached 6,020. The recovery rate has climbed to 82.09 percent in the last few days in Uttarakhand, with more recoveries and fewer new cases. The authorities reported 6,674 recoveries yesterday in Uttarakhand. The state has shown the recovery of a total of 2,61,328 patients so far. 

Meanwhile, the count of Mucormycosis (Black Fungus) patients in Uttarakhand increased by 133 yesterdays. A total of 11 patients have lost their lives from Black Fungus so far. Out of 81 deaths reported yesterday, 14 occurred at All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh, six at District hospital Rudrapur, eight each at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital, and Mahant Indiresh hospital, five each at Military Hospital Dehradun, Himalayan hospital Dehradun, Lehman hospital. Similarly, three deaths each were reported from Sanjeevani hospital Udham Singh Nagar, Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani, HN Base hospital Srinagar, and Krishna hospital Kashipur.

Dehradun reported as many as 524 fresh cases of Corona yesterday while Udham Singh Nagar had 452, Almora 234, Tehri 264, Nainital 209, Chamoli 226, Pithoragarh 124, Rudraprayag 161, Uttarkashi and Parui 109 each, Bageshwar 70, and Champawat 74 new cases on the day. The total count of active patients is 45,568 in the state. Haridwar tops the list of 8440 active cases overtaking Dehradun. Dehradun ranks second with 7451 active patients. Udham Singh Nagar 4827, Pauri 5155, Nainital 3,140, Tehri 4,731, Rudraprayag 2,250, Chamoli 2,509, , Almora 2,066, Pithoragarh 1,527, Uttarkashi 1,236, Bageshwar 1,325,  and Champawat 911 had active cases of the disease.

The administration has set up 477 containment zones in the state to contain the spread of Corona. More than 19,648 persons were inoculated in 382 sessions in the state yesterday. Total fully vaccinated people are 6,81,592, while the first shot of the vaccine has been administered to around 21,43,164.
